What is the benefit of transforming the system?
Business is becoming technology driven more than ever. Examples from around the world indicates that the businesses models that are winning in the marketplace are the ones driven by technology. Just few examples are Amazon, Airbnb and Uber. They have completely changed the way Retail, Hotel and Transportation businesses used to run even a few years back. The underlying message is very clear that all businesses will have to embrace new technologies to stay relevant in the marketplace. Cloud computing, easy analytics and other dominant technological shifts are opening the doors of enormous competitive advantage to all businesses irrespective of industry, location or business size.
During system transition, will day-to-day business stop?
Progya Foundation will follow a well-defined methodology where the entire project and the transition path is well defined and documented. All data elements will be prepared beforehand and migrated to the new environments as planned. There will be minimum disruption of ‘business as usual’ activities
How much time it takes to transform the system?
The short answer to this question is – it depends. It really depends on the complexity of your business and how you want to take up the transformation journey. A very high-level rough timeline for system transformation of a small/medium business in ERPNext may be 8 to 10 weeks. This does not include any customizations and assumes that the master and transaction data is readily available. You just need to talk to Progya Foundation to get a realistic estimate, specific to you.
What would be the cost of system transformation?
Again, the short answer to this question is – it depends. However, the total cost of ownership for a cloud-based system will be much lower compared to the traditional on premise system, where you have to separately purchase both hardware and software and on top of it, you need to provision for dedicated resource to manage all these components. For cloud-based ERP applications Progya Foundation will charge a very reasonable implementation fee and will do hosting and managed services for a monthly subscription. Talk to Progya Foundation to get a quotation specific to yourself.
Is the system secured?
We apply strict security measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your data when transferring, storing or processing it. We use administrative and technical security measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of your business data.
Do I have to still keep manual back-up?
No. There is no need to keep manual back up of your data, back up is already included in Progya Foundation offering. Back up is taken following a predefined schedule and the latest back up will be available for retrieval, if such a situation arise. Automated procedure is set up for this task so there is no need to worry about keeping manual back up.
After transformation is over, can we go to Progya for support?
Yes. Progya Foundation is committed to help you in hosting and managed services along with ERPNext implementation. A well set out ticketing process is in place for any assistance required after you are live on the new system.
Will Progya provide our staff necessary training to run the new system?
Yes. Progya Foundation will train a select group of your Workforce, who in turn can train others. So, ‘train the trainer’ approach will be followed to bring your workforce up to speed with the new system. On a different note, the new system is very sleek, user friendly and intuitive and thus requires minimal training or hand-holding for the Users.
Are government tax and compliance requirements covered in the system?
Yes, India GST is covered in the system. All data required for creating eWay bill is also available in the system.
